T E Lawrence as Aircraftsman Shaw came to Northwich in March 1934 with two colleagues to supervise the fitting out and sea trials of a small auxiliary supply ship for the Air Ministry.  This ship was built at Yarwood’s Boat Yard on the River Weaver in Northwich.  Shaw and his colleagues stayed for three weeks at the Crown & Anchor Hotel in the town centre. Wreath laying for T.E. Lawrence

On May 19th between 11am and 11.15am Susan Vincent , Co-ordinator of the Dorset Branch of the Society, will lay a wreath of flowers on the grave of T.E. Lawrence in commemoration of the day he died in 1935. The flowers are a donation from an American Friend who sends them every year. There will be a short reading from The Seven Pillars of Wisdom followed by lunch and then onto Clouds Hill where there maybe a gathering of Brough…
