T E Lawrence Symposium 2021

The sixteenth T E Lawrence Society Symposium will be held at St John’s College, Oxford, from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th September 2021.
Members and guests are invited to a long weekend of lectures, exhibitions and good company in the beautiful surroundings of this historic Oxford College. Accommodation is available in college rooms or your choice of accommodation, with all meals available including a formal dinner in the Great Hall with a special after-dinner speaker and a traditional English Sunday lunch. Enjoy three days of excellently-researched presentations, browsing the extensive bookstall, an exhibition at Jesus College and meeting like-minded delegates.
Subjects for the presentations include: Lawrence’s immediate post-war life through photography and art, the Arab Revolt from an Arab viewpoint, Armoured cars in the desert, Admiral Wemyss, Lawrence’s friendship with Jim Ede, Desert insurgency: the archeology of the Arab Revolt, Carchemish and Lawrence’s archeology and a fascinating insight into the Lawrence brothers.
