Membership
Subscription year
When you
join the society your membership begins at once, but the start of your
formal subscription year will begin either on 1 April or 1 October,
whichever is closest. We have introduced the 1 October start-date to improve
the initial period of membership for those joining in the second half of the
year.
-
If you join between 1 July and 31 December
2006, the nominal beginning of your membership will be 1 October 2006,
renewable on 1 October 2007.
-
If you join between 1 January 2007 and 31
June 2007, the nominal beginning of your membership will be 1 April 2007,
renewable on 1 April 2008.
Benefits of membership
Your
single annual subscription provides membership of the T.E. Lawrence Society
for one or two people living in the same household:
-
You
receive by mail two issues of the printed Journal (length of each
issue at least 80 pages)
-
Four issues of the Newsletter
(average length 16 pages) are available to all members from the members'
area of this website. You can read them as web pages or download them as
a printable PDF document. If we have colour originals for the
illustrations, they are reproduced in colour online. At extra cost you
can receive printed copies of the newsletters by mail. These have
illustrations in black-and-white
-
You
have access to the Members' Area of
the society's website
-
You can
attend events organised by the society and by local groups. These
provide opportunities to meet other people who share your interest, some
of whom are extremely knowledgeable
-
Your subscription carries an entitlement
to one vote, in
person or by proxy, at the
society's General Meetings
